The Islamic Dilemma destroys the Qur'an, and Gurdjieff's Fourth Way is not Sufism

“If you are in doubt about what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you.”— Surah 10:94
You Can’t Have Jesus Without the Cross
Islam tries to play both sides—calling Jesus a prophet while denying His crucifixion, divinity, and resurrection. It pretends to honour Christ while gutting Him of everything that makes Him the Son of God. The result? A theological Frankenstein that collapses under its own contradictions.
This isn’t an academic debate. It’s a spiritual crisis.
The Qur’an Says the Bible Is True
“We sent Jesus, son of Mary… and gave him the Gospel.” — Surah 5:46“Let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein.” — Surah 5:47“None can change His words.” — Surah 6:115
There it is—black and white. The Qur’an affirms the Bible and calls Christians to live by it. It claims the Gospel was real, divine, and intact during Muhammad’s time.
So far, so good…Until you actually read the Gospel.
The Bible Says Jesus Is God, Died, and Rose Again
Jesus is the Son of God
“The Father and I are one.” — John 10:30
Jesus was crucified and killed
“They crucified Him.” — Mark 15:24
Jesus rose from the dead
“He is not here; He has risen!” — Luke 24:6–7
He is the only way to salvation
“No other name under heaven… by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12
These aren’t interpretive ambiguities. These are the beating heart of the Christian faith.
But Then the Qur’an Slams the Door Shut
“They did not kill him, nor crucify him—it was made to appear so.” — Surah 4:157
“Say not ‘Trinity’... Allah is one God.” — Surah 4:171
“They blaspheme who say: Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” — Surah 5:72
So which is it, Islam? You can’t affirm the Gospel and then call it blasphemy.
The Dilemma: Affirm and Deny = Collapse
Premise 1: The Qur’an says the Bible is God’s Word.
Premise 2: The Bible says Jesus is the crucified and risen Son of God.
Premise 3: The Qur’an says Jesus isn’t divine and wasn’t crucified.
Conclusion: Islam eats itself alive. If the Bible is true, Islam is false. If the Bible is false, then the Qur’an is also false for endorsing it.
You don’t need a theology degree. Just basic logic. Islam affirms what it then denies.
Objections That Crash and Burn
“The Bible Was Corrupted.”
Then why did the Qur’an command people to judge by it? Why call the people of the Book to follow something that had already been falsified? Either Allah didn’t know the Bible had changed (which is blasphemy in Islam), or He lied. Pick your poison.
And let’s not forget the mountains of manuscript evidence—from centuries before Muhammad—that show today’s Bible matches the ancient one. So no, it wasn’t changed. And no, the Qur’an doesn’t get a free pass.
“The Injil Wasn’t the New Testament.”
Then where is it? No alternate Gospel has ever surfaced. No author, no text, no history. This mythical “true Gospel” is a figment. If Allah sent it, he let it vanish. So much for eternal guidance.
“Christians Misunderstood Jesus.”
Except every early Christian creed, letter, and gospel declares His divinity, death, and resurrection. Not a single scrap of early Christian thought supports the Islamic view. Not one. Either Jesus deceived everyone—or Islam is deceived.
The Cross Is a Sword Through Islam
If Jesus was crucified—and history says He was… If He rose again—and the disciples died for that claim… If the Gospel is true—and the Qur’an affirms it…Then Islam is not just wrong. It is built on a contradiction so explosive, it negates itself.
This isn’t interfaith dialogue. This is the death of an illusion.
Gurdjieff’s Fourth Way: Christ at the Centre, Not Mecca
There’s a trend among spiritual influencers to lump Gurdjieff’s Fourth Way with Sufism—Islamic mysticism. This is pure distortion.
As detailed here, the Fourth Way is esoteric Christianity, not Islam in disguise.
Gurdjieff:
Proclaimed the divinity of Christ.
Affirmed the crucifixion and resurrection as cosmic realities.
Taught the Trinity and man’s need for transformation through Christ.
That’s not Sufi. That’s Gospel.
Sufism, no matter how poetic or mystical, still denies the Cross. It still calls Jesus a prophet, not the incarnate Word. The two paths are incompatible. One leads to the living Christ. The other to a dead end.
Final Punchline
You don’t get to cherry-pick Jesus. He isn’t a spiritual emoji you add to your interfaith salad.
If the Bible is true, Islam is false. If the Bible is false, the Qur’an is still false for endorsing it.
And if Gurdjieff’s Fourth Way is true—as a recovery of the radical, inner teaching of Christ—then Islam’s theological foundations disintegrate for Sufism.
